African Drumming
with Linda Powell
Drumming can cut through cultural, social, racial, and gender boundaries and allow people to express themselves in a positive way. Each unique individual has a unique and equally important contribution to make.
As a group activity, drumming is a fantastic metaphor for a community as it requires the full co-operation of all members, and through drumming one can really feel part of a team, and fully understand that their role is vital to the greater whole.
When and Where
African Drumming Classes are held twice per month:
- 1st and 3rd Sunday afternoons at 4:00pm at the Main Community Building
Linda Powell is an independent instructor not in the employ of the Adawehi Healing Center.
